Premiere pictures

Well we are still recovering from the trip up north and the premiere, but we are so excited to share photographs from the big night with everyone! Here they are (taken by Karey's dad):

Ryan and Karey with Karey's family, minus her sister, Amy, who couldn't be there.

Karey with Jason and Bonnie Fazio, two of the adorers featured in the movie.

Ryan with Sisters Elizabeth and Lois Paciello.

Karey with Father Richard Dellos, the priest at the parish where the chapel is located.

Father Dellos with Betty Frank. Betty is in charge of the perpetual adoration chapel.

Augusta Ambrose, one of the children featured in the movie.

Karey with Sean Clive, the musician who provided the music for the film, with his wife, Jennifer, and their new baby.

A portion of the packed theater before the movie began.

This was taken right as the movie ended.

Betty Frank speaking at the end.

Ryan thanking everyone for coming.

People lining up to buy DVDs after the movie. We never expected this in a million years.

One of Karey's aunts and one of her uncles, buying DVDs from her mom.

Karey's aunt actually made her sign her DVD!

Ryan and Karey with their dear friends, the Ambroses, who also happen to be some of the stars of the movie.

Thanks again to everyone who came out for the premiere! We were so incredibly touched by everything - from the turnout, to the audience's reaction to the film, to the DVD sales. Most importantly, we hope those in attendance can share the movie and its message with others - that our Lord is there for us in the Eucharist, day and night, welcoming us to spend time with Him. If one person sees this movie and begins a weekly hour of adoration, we will have suceeded!

Packed House!

I honestly can't express how amazing tonight's premiere of Watch With Me turned out to be. Hopefully this picture tells at least some of the story:

This is a picture of the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institutes's theater prior to the beginning of the screening. It shows that there was not a seat to be had!! We are so grateful to everyone who attended (all 280 of you!). Karey and I never expected the reception the film received. The crowd even showed their appreciation at the end with a long standing ovation!! We continue to praise God for His many blessings with this special project.

We are also incredibly blessed that more than 200 DVDs were purchased by those in attendance!

We will post more pictures and video in the days ahead of this incredible event, and we are hopeful that by the beginning of next week, DVDs will be available for purchase on the web site. If you'd like to order an advanced copy, email karey at kareynobles@yahoo.com

Clive and Hagan to Perform at Premiere

We have just learned that two of the performers who provided incredible music to Watch With Me, have agreed to perform for people as they arrive at MWPAI's Theatre for the premiere.

Sean Clive and Larry Hagan will provide their incredible talents to the event which seems to become more blessed by the day.

It is worth noting, that when Karey began this project, finding music to use was an incredible obstacle. Musicians (and rightly so) are very protective of their creative product. We couldn't just go grab some music off the Internet and throw it in the movie. That is when Karey approached Sean and Larry. We have long been fans of Sean's music and Karey worked for short time with his father-in-law. She reached out to him to see if there was a way we could purchase the use of his music for the project. Sean, not knowing anything about the movie (aside from Karey's pitch) agreed to let us use whatever we wanted no questions asked. He even sent us all of his CD's for free!! As for Larry, we were fellow parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes in Utica and often attended the Saturday vigil mass where Larry and a few others performed the music in a folk-style fashion. Karey knew that Larry had produced some music of his own and he too agreed to take part.

Keep in mind, that when Karey signed these two incredibly talented musicians up, the documentary was in its infinitesimal stage. We had barely started shooting any of the footage! By the time it came to incorporate the music, Karey had no idea what to expect. In another clear example of how God's hand has guided us through this adventure, the music not only provided a perfect backdrop for the piece, in a few instances, it even provided Karey guideposts as to the direction she wanted the story line to go in. It was clear that this music belonged in this movie.

Now, here is where I make the pitch. Much like our little production company, Larry and Sean are just faithful Catholics who perform their music for God's glory. However, their music is exceptional and it is for sale. Go to their web sites and check out their tunes and buy a few copies. (Christmas is not too far away and Sean has an incredible Holiday C-D!!)

The premiere is now just a few days away!!

DVDs are here!

Today, Utica's newspaper, the Observer Dispatch, ran a story about the movie premiere in its Weekend Plus insert, with a photo and everything! We don't think it's online though, so there's nothing to link to (sorry, online readers not based in Utica!). We haven't seen it yet (being in Richmond and all) but we're told it looks great!

And in other exciting news... the DVDs have arrived! All 250 of them!

DVDs will be on sale at the premiere for $10, and will also be available for purchase at the adoration chapel in the weeks following the event (see Betty Frank). And, of course, they will also be available on our website, www.watchwithmemovie.com, beginning in about a week and a half. We are taking pre-orders; just send me an email at kareynobles@yahoo.com.

Premiere Press Tour Continues

We are incredibly blessed! Karey has booked two more media appearances in advance of the premiere of her movie a week from tonight!

First, we learned that a profile on the Watch With Me premiere will be featured in the Weekend Plus section of Utica's popular Observer-Dispatch Newspaper. If I'm not mistaken, I am pretty sure that the Weekend Plus comes as part of the Thursday edition of the paper. If an online link appears, I'll be sure to share it with you here.

Second, Karey and I have been booked to appear on our old friend Bill Keeler's number one rated radio show on 92.7FM The Drive in Utica. His show has a huge audience and it will be a great opportunity for us to share the message of the movie and invite people to the premiere. We are scheduled to be on next Monday August 11th at 3:30pm. We may be able to share a mp3 of our visit with Bill sometime after it airs.

So if you are in Utica area, be sure to check out the O-D on Thursday and the Keeler Show on Monday.  And, as always,  if you are interested in coming to the premiere shoot Karey and e-mail at kareynobles@yahoo.com.

ps: If you are by your computer on Monday, but not in the Utica area or by a radio, Bill offers a crystal clear feed of his program live as it happens. Just click on this link

PRESS RELEASE: Filmmaker Set to Premier Movie on Utica Chapel at MWPAI

PRESS RELEASE

Filmmaker Set To Premier Movie on Utica Chapel at MWPAI

(Utica, NY)- Former local television news anchor Karey Nobles is set to debut her full-feature documentary Watch With Me to an audience at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute’s theater in Utica. The premiere screening will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 7 p.m.

The film features an inside look at the perpetual adoration chapel at St. Joseph- St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in West Utica. The chapel has been operating for more than 16 years, with faithful volunteers taking part in this unique form of Roman Catholic worship, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Nobles spent close to two years following a group of these dedicated volunteers to learn what motivates them to visit the chapel at all hours of the day and night, and what they gain from the experience. Watch With Me tells the story of this little-known volunteer group - with more than 300 active members from all ages and walks of life - that rarely garners front-page news coverage, but contributes to its community in a very important way.

The movie also features the music of local musicians Sean Clive and Larry Hagan.

The premiere is free and open to the public, but because of limited seating, a ticket must be obtained in advance. For more information on tickets, contact the chapel's coordinator Betty Frank at 315-732-1755. For more information on the movie log on to www.watchwithmemovie.com.

About Karey Nobles:  Karey Nobles served as an anchor and reporter at WKTV NewsChannel2 in Utica from 1999-2003. Since her time at WKTV she has worked as an independent artist and in public relations. She founded EstherJane Productions in the fall of 2006. Watch With Me is the company’s first project.

**Interviews available upon request** Karey is available for interviews by phone prior to the premiere. For more information or to schedule a time, contact her directly at 315-404-9527 or kareynobles@yahoo.com

Interview with Catholic Sun

Today was a big day, as Karey did an interview with the Catholic Sun which is the newspaper for the Syracuse Catholic Diocese. They are doing a feature on the movie's upcoming premiere on August 12th.

The interview was a great opportunity for two reasons: 1- It is a wonderful way to let faithful Catholics learn about the movie and come here to the web site to learn more. (and Lord willing, maybe purchase a copy or two) 2- (and more important) It will introduce or re-introduce people to the practice of adoration. One of the things we have found is that few people are familiar with the concept of eucharist adoration and even less (including Catholics) are aware of perpetual eucharist adoration.

Karey was really touched by the Holy Spirit to make the film for that reason. It is amazing how people, who consider themselves to be very faithful, are unaware of the blessings that adoration provides. The movie shows people, in a very interesting way, just how wonderful that blessing can be.

So if you are in Syracuse Diocese, keep an eye on the Catholic Sun for the article!
