Welcome...

...to our new blog about the soon-to-be-released documentary, Watch With Me.

The movie - produced by my husband, Ryan, and I - is about the Catholic devotion of perpetual adoration. After becoming an adorer myself, I was so intrigued by the devotion that I set out to document the stories of several adorers at a small chapel in upstate New York.

(If you're not familiar with perpetual adoration, you might want to check out this website's description - but don't forget to come back here!)

Before moving to Virgnia last fall, I was an adorer at St. Joseph-St. Patrick's Church in Utica, New York. My assigned weekly hour was from 10 to 11 p.m. on Sundays. While in the chapel, and while asking the Lord what he wanted me to do with my life, I began to feel called to make this documentary. I ignored the feeling for several months until I gave in and asked God (or, rather, told him) if he wanted me to make this movie he would need to provide me with the necessary funds. Of course, he did just that and here we are.

Despite being a "cradle Catholic," I spent most of my life in the dark about adoration. I didn't know it existed outside of Holy Thursday, and I definitely had never heard of perpetual adoration. We hope this movie helps to introduce Catholics and non-Catholics, alike, to this form of devotional prayer and that it may even be used by the Holy Spirit to call some to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament.

Please check back to this blog (and the website) often as we will be updating the movie's progress, posting video clips and never-before-seen footage, and announcing screening dates and the release of DVDs. Please keep this project in your prayers, and please leave a comment below or send us an email. We'd love to meet you!

God bless,
